Not for clothing, among the records we checked. The one live TACO TUESDAY record on this page is a logo registration owned by Nostalgia Products LLC: the words in a stylized font with a chili-pepper drawing. The words "TACO TUESDAY" are disclaimed, which means the owner claims no exclusive rights in the wording by itself, apart from the logo. It covers kitchen appliances (class 11) and tortilla press grills, heated dipping pots and lazy susans (class 21). It does not list mugs, cups or clothing. Both class 25 clothing applications we checked are dead.

Goods text is quoted from the USPTO record and shortened where marked “…”. Classes listed are international classes. A dash (—) means no registration has issued.
Mark type matters. A standard-character mark covers the wording itself, in any font or style. A stylized or design (logo) mark is registered as shown, and how far it reaches to the same words in plain text is fact-specific. A trademark attorney can tell you how it applies to your design. USPTO mark descriptions:
Serial 90192255: The mark consists of the words "TACO TUESDAY" in stylized font with a stylized drawing of a chili pepper to the right of the word "TACO". Disclaimer: no claim is made to the exclusive right to use "TACO TUESDAY" apart from the mark as shown.
About this check. This page lists only the 3 USPTO records shown above. We picked them from a limited sample of search results (the top 100 results per phrase search, when a common phrase can have thousands of related filings) and verified each one on its USPTO TSDR status page. Other filings, live or dead, may exist. Where this page says "none," it means none in the records we checked.
Shirts and apparel (class 25). Two clothing applications are dead: CPTN Apparel Company's 2017 application was expressly abandoned in 2021, and a 1997 application by Steve Levinson ended after a Trademark Trial and Appeal Board decision in 2000. None of the class 25 records we checked is live. We only checked a sample of filings, though, and new applications can be filed at any time.
Mugs and drinkware (class 21). The live registration (Reg. No. 6393805) is in class 21, but its goods are press grills for tortilla shells, heated dipping pots and lazy susans. It doesn't cover mugs or cups. Class 21 also includes mugs, and some marketplaces look at classes rather than goods, so a "Taco Tuesday" mug could still draw a complaint. Read the goods text yourself.
Kitchen gadgets. If you sell tortilla presses, dipping pots, lazy susans or similar kitchen items, you're much closer to the goods in Nostalgia Products' registration. Its protection is for the logo as shown, though. How far it reaches to plain-text uses is a question for a trademark attorney.
Restaurant use. This page only covers merch classes. Restaurant-service records are outside what we checked here.
Variants are starting points, not clearances. Any new wording can match a record we didn't list or a filing made after our check. Run every final phrase through a search before you list it.
One phrase is easy to look up. Hundreds of listings aren't. PhraseSafe checks the titles and tags in your Etsy or Shopify listings export against USPTO trademark records in merch classes and flags matches with status, class, owner and filing date. Starter scans up to 500 listings at a time. Pro adds a monthly new-filing check and daily status checks on marks you watch, with results shown on your PhraseSafe dashboard. Paid plans are activated with a license key.
