PhraseSafe is an informational tool and is not legal advice. A match (or no match) does not mean a phrase is or isn't safe to use. Consult a trademark attorney for decisions.

Terms of service

Last updated Oct 18, 2026.

These terms apply when you use PhraseSafe (the website at phrasesafe.pages.dev, its scanner, phrase pages and dashboard). By using PhraseSafe or buying a plan, you agree to them. Questions: phrasesafe@mail.grokbot.com.

PhraseSafe shows information from public U.S. trademark records to help you research phrases. It is not legal advice, it is not a trademark search or clearance opinion, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. We are not a law firm. A match is a risk signal to look into, and “no match” does not mean a phrase is free to use. The name “PhraseSafe” is our product name, not a promise that any phrase is safe. For decisions about your products, talk to a licensed trademark attorney.

2. Coverage and accuracy

We check live U.S. word marks in international classes 14, 16, 18, 21 and 25, using USPTO bulk data that is updated monthly and can lag the USPTO register by weeks, plus status re-checks on USPTO TSDR. We filter out common words, so some marks are deliberately not flagged. We don't check logos, stylized or design elements beyond their wording, copyright, state or foreign trademarks, unregistered (common-law) rights, rights of publicity, or marketplace policies. Results can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You are responsible for your listings and products.

3. Paid plans, auto-renewal and cancellation

4. License keys

Paid access works with the license key from your purchase. A key is for you and your own business. It can be activated up to 3 times (for example, on 3 browsers or devices). Don't share, sell or publish your key. We may deactivate keys that are shared or used to get around plan limits.

5. Acceptable use

Don't: scrape or bulk-download PhraseSafe pages or the API, or run automated queries beyond normal use of the scanner; get around rate limits or plan limits; resell or republish our results as a competing dataset; interfere with or probe the security of the service; or use PhraseSafe for anything unlawful, including to harass trademark owners or sellers. We may suspend access for misuse.

6. Trademarks and content

Trademark records come from the USPTO and are public information. Marks and brand names shown on PhraseSafe belong to their owners and appear only to identify public records. PhraseSafe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the USPTO, Etsy, Shopify, Redbubble, Amazon, Lemon Squeezy or any trademark owner named on the site. The PhraseSafe site design, text and software are ours. See data sources and credits.

7. No warranty

PhraseSafe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost sales, takedowns, account suspensions or legal claims related to your listings or products. Our total liability for any claim about PhraseSafe is limited to the amount you paid for PhraseSafe in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change materially affects paid plans, we'll give notice before it applies to your next renewal. If you keep using PhraseSafe after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
